I actually have it on good authority that Song is actually a right-back.

He was bought by Arsenal as a right-back but Wenger saw something in him and played him in the centre.

Now, this info does come from a female season ticket holder at Arsenal. Now, when the bint interupted a conversation between me and my mate at a wedding on Saturday I thought "I won't argue" as arguing with a female over football is like cutting off your pubes and eating them. No point.

So I left it but was then told by a male West Ham fan that this was the case. He is actually a right back.

Noble has been in the team for years and for good reason. His ability to sit in front of the back four and break up play is very good plus his passion and 100% every single game is something alot of players we've had over the years can learn from.

Yes he doesn't score enough, but he has been nurtured into a holding midfielder and i think he does this very well. His set piece taking and goals per season needs to improve but we would be a worse side without him at the moment.

He was awful at the weekend, but how many times have the whole team played absolute dogshit and the only player to come away with any decency is Noble.

Yes he is 'Mr WHU' but or good reason, he has give everything to this club and could easily of fucked off to the prem when we went down. He stuck with us and was outstanding that season in the championship and deserves the chance to have first refusal at owning that position now there is some serious competition in the side

Why the obsession with one player, Reid has been a liability so far yet no threads for him to be dropped.

Rodney

What about when you told us that Blair Turgott would come back from his last loan a first team player for us? Or that we were wrong to let Rob Hall go? Or that selling Stanislas would come back to bite us on the arse???

You don't tend to get a lot of player related predictions right, fordy!

Fraudster, what an odd sort you are. Not content with Noble just losing his starting place you also want to witness him playing up about it.

I never said he owes West Ham anything, i just said it will be interesting to see how Mr West Ham he is when he aint starting games all the time.

Fraudster, I fully expect Noble to be a regular starter in our midfield this season. I have no worries about his professionalism. If it turns out that he cannot hold a starting place and he chooses to move on good luck to him. He owes WHU nothing.

Hahaha

Macca how can you bring Collison up when the poor fella looks to have suffered a career ending injury.

As much as i do really love what i do on here at times(and you know what that is) the truth is......

I don`t hate Noble, far from it. I do hate the acclaim he gets for being BANG AVERAGE.

And that is all it is, i reckon you already knew that though son.

Comma i think it will be very interestin to see how Noble behaves if he no longer holds a starting place at the club.

We could really see how West Ham he really is.

Re: BFS is probably about to finally do what previous managers have all failed to do......
Rodders - You're off your head son.

For about 7/8 years this has eaten you up. First off you told us all Jack COLLISON was the man who was going to take this club forward and displace Noble. We will be building a team round him for years to come. Jack is now clubless.

Then it was Allardyce that was the man who won't take his shit performances anymore and finally get rid of him. He's currently captaining the side and has won player of the year in 2 of Allardyce's 3 seasons here.

Then during that time Diame was signed and he was the player that was finally going to take us to the next level. Was going to displace Noble and drive this team forward. He's just signed for Hull City TIGERS.

Maybe, just maybe, all the Managers that have managed Mark NOBLE think he's a very good player? They wouldn't be alone either. Former pro's have championed him for international caps and one only last week commented how he controlled the midfield in a Premiership game.

You'll enjoy your lap top so much more if you let it go son.

Re: BFS is probably about to finally do what previous managers have all failed to do......
As far as I'm concerned Noble has been in the team, throughout his career, based entirely on merit whoever has been our manager at the time.

Better competition for places should bring out the best in players and Noble has generally risen to the standard required to seal a midfield place. One thing for sure we know that he will act professionally and not spit his dummy out.

You're so fucking boring.

Re: BFS is probably about to finally do what previous managers have all failed to do......
Noble is a consistent performer, but the level he performs at isnt good enough for a team that is looking for a top half finish. He got to step up two gears to really be the man he wants to be, Mr. West Ham.

Re: BFS is probably about to finally do what previous managers have all failed to do......
for the last seven seasons I've bought shirts with Noble on the back, but it seems im switching to Tomkins this season. I really hope im mistaken, but we need to show Noble that he got to perform to stay in the squad. Noble is the player that gets to play even if he gives away shitty freekicks and scores too little for a central midfielder, but it seems he has been better at tackling and doesnt do these rash challenges so much. Im praying to God that he is just maturing into a West Ham great and just needs better players around him to progress. Im pretty sure Noble would have been a much better player if he left West Ham like Lampard, Cole, Rio and Defoe did, but I love his loyalty and passion for this club. Leave him on the bench for a while and see how he responds.

One McAvennieeeeee 11:41 Tue Sep 2
Re: BFS is probably about to finally do what previous managers have all failed to do......
Rodders - I've answered that.

Why did he sell Taylor if he loves him so much?

The other season Noble got injured and O'Neil came in and played well. When Noble was fit again he came back from the bench.

I have no idea why I'm trying to justify this to be honest. It's an utterly ridiuclous point and show's you up for your Football knowledge to be honest.

You're so desperate for 1 player to be dropped you've lost all rational thinking about the game.

One McAvennieeeeee 11:39 Tue Sep 2
Re: BFS is probably about to finally do what previous managers have all failed to do......
appy - People have bad games. You won't find a Manager that drops every player after every bad game.

As I said, he picks people who he feels can do a job. These people are not robots. They're human beings who won't always play well. Supporters won't always agree.

Rooney was fucking garbage last weekend. I reckon he'll still play their next game.

Rodfarts 11:38 Tue Sep 2

So whats the excuse for Taylor & Nolan then Macca?
